What about Omega 3 from other sources like algae or krill?
The human body can only convert between 0.1% to 0.4% of the precursor ALA into the needed omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA). Because of that, using plant-based omega 3 sources like algae or linseed oil will not give you a sufficient supply. Krill oil is often blended with fish or squid oil from unknown sources to reach moderate but still low EPA/DHA levels. Also, krill stock is decreasing, and it is the main food resource for many marine mammals, seabirds and other fish – if we want to guarantee biodiversity for following generations it is more than important to produce sustainably, so please make sure your omega 3 product is certified with the label of MSC for sustainability.
My fish oil used to have a dark capsule and was flavored – why is yours different?
Quick and easy – we use only fresh fish oil with super low oxidation levels, there is nothing to hide or mask in our product, it tastes and smells almost neutral like a high-quality product should.
What should I look for in a fish oil brand?
Always make sure that you can find out where the raw material is coming from – some questions we would ask are: Where is the fish caught and how? How is the safety status – does the label have any security certifications? Does the distributing company offer any reports on contaminations like PCBs or heavy metals?
Do I have to be worried about heavy metal levels or other contaminants in your fish oil?
No, you don´t – we only use the best available fish oil on the market, and we can provide bulletproof safety reports. We want everyone to only consume safe supplements without any compromises.
What are the benefits for my sportive performance?
Resulting from hard workouts like HIIT or Elite Fitness, micro-lesions appear in our muscles. which could lead to inflammations, a delayed recovery and typical muscular pains.
The body is using Omega 3 fatty acids as building blocks for our cell membranes and is making them flexible and smooth. Furthermore, the body is using fatty acids to synthesize eicosanoids, substances similar to hormones, which are playing a big role in fighting inflammation.
How do I take fish oil?
We suggest to make it part of your daily routine – you can take the capsules together with dinner or lunch or last thing before going to bed, together with our magnesium:zinc product for deep & recovering sleep.
Why do I get nasty burps from some fish oil products?
The freshness of fish oil is measured with the “totox” (total oxidation value), the lower this value the fresher the product is. A cheap Omega 3 product with a high totox or an already rancid fish oil will cause a reflux ending up in a nasty burp. From a high-quality product like ours, you won´t get any burps unless you force your body to burp by drinking lots of sparkling water to swallow the capsules.
There are a lot of cheap fish oil supplements in the drugstore – what is the difference between them and your Omega 3 product?
Most of those products are only cheap at first glance. Always make sure to calculate the price based on what you actually get – how much do you really pay for 1000 mg of fish oil? Most of the time, you will pay much more. We bet! Last but not least – quality has its price and your body is the only one you will have in this life. The harm from fish oil from dubious resources could outweigh the expected benefits by far!
